We need to push forward!" I shouted, struggling to be heard above the clashing of steel and the screams of the dying. They responded with fierce determination, unleashing their powers upon our enemies in a desperate attempt to break through.

"Jack, we're trying, but there's too many of them!" Ransom roared, his demonic form tearing through soldiers like paper.

"Keep going!" My teeth gritted, I continued to fight, knowing that with every passing moment, Alice and Callister were slipping further away.

"Look out!" Ransom’s warning reached me just in time, and I narrowly dodged a stream of blazing flames that erupted from the monstrous jaws of a hideous beast above me.

The Jabberwocky, a nightmare made flesh, swooped down from the sky, its massive wings casting eerie shadows on the ground below. Its eyes burned with malevolent intelligence, and its razor-sharp claws gleamed with deadly intent.

"Stay close!" Hatter yelled, unleashing a torrent of magical energy towards the creature. But the Jabberwocky merely snarled, swiping at the air with its fearsome talons, unharmed by his assault.

"Chess, can you get us close enough to strike?" Ransom asked, his demon powers crackling through the air as he readied himself for battle.

"I'll try," Chess replied, shifting into his giant Cheshire Cat demon form. His body became semi-transparent, and he leaped towards the Jabberwocky with feline grace. We followed suit, our weapons ablaze with power, determination etched on our faces.

"Amari, keep our men safe," I commanded, my voice laced with concern. She nodded solemnly and began weaving protective spells around the remaining soldiers.

As we clashed against the Jabberwocky, I felt a surge of adrenaline course through my veins. My vampire bloodlust was fully activated, granting me the strength and speed to face this monstrous adversary. But despite our combined efforts, it became increasingly clear that we were outmatched.

"Jack, we can't keep this up!" Hatter shouted, his eyes wide with panic. "We're losing too many men!"

"Fall back! To the cave!" I ordered, gritting my teeth against the agony of defeat. I knew it was the right call to make, but the thought of leaving Alice and Callister behind filled me with despair. My heart ached for them, and my rage towards Roxanne knew no bounds. I longed to sink my teeth into her throat and drain her life away, to make her pay for what she had done.

Furthermore, the realization that we were no match for the Jabberwocky tore at my resolve like its serrated claws. How could our army ever compete when the Red Queen commanded such a beast?

Chess managed to shield us as we retreated, but many of our soldiers weren't so lucky. Screams filled the air as the Jabberwocky's fiery breath engulfed them, turning their bodies into charred husks. The weight of their sacrifice bore down on me, as heavy as the beast's heated flames.

As we retreated through the forest, I glanced back one last time at the devastation left in our wake. The once peaceful woodland now resembled a scene from a nightmare, the earth soaked in blood and littered with the broken bodies of friends and foes alike.
